American Exchange Group has acquired skincare brand Indie Lee. The deal comes one year after AEG entered the beauty space with its acquisition of beauty incubator HatchCollective and marks its first acquisition of a premium brand in the space.WHO: Indie Lee founded her namesake brand in 2010 with a single mission—to keep things simple and effective; to empower, engage, and educate others, one ingredient at a time. The skincare and lifestyle brand consists of an eco-chic collection of clean beauty products that combine style and sustainability without sacrifice. Inspired and motivated by a life-threatening brain tumor believed to be environmentally derived, Indie has dedicated her life to educating others to the potentially harmful effects of toxins absorbed through the skin. The omnichannel brand is sold in more than 2,000 locations, primarily in North America. Key retailers include Bluemercury, Ulta Beauty, Credo Beauty, and Nordstrom.American Exchange Group is an industry leader in accessories design and manufacturing. By facilitating distribution to major retailers globally for their proprietary brands, custom private-label brands, and exclusive licensed brands, including footwear, tech wearables, watches, jewelry, handbags, and fashion accessories, American Exchange Group raises the bar by disrupting status quo pricing while staying at the forefront of trends.WHY: The acquisition marks a strategic milestone for American Exchange Group and a commitment to expanding further into the beauty and personal care industry.
